For nearly five hundred years the Vienna Boys' Choir have been a symbol of Austria.It is one of the best known boys' choirs in the world. The Vienna Boys' Choir is one of the oldest boys' choirs existing in the world. 
A number of famous musicians have emerged from its ranks. Its first-class training has produced numerous highly qualified vocalists, violinists and pianists. Joseph Haydn, Franz Schubert,Mozart,Georg Boyer, Benedikt Randhartinger, Hans Richter, Karl Zeller ,Josef Sucher, Felix Mottl, Clemens Krauss and Lovro von Matacic are former members of the Vienna Boys' Choir.Known for its exceedingly high vocal standard, the choir has worked with musicians including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Caldara, Antonio Salieri, Heinrich Isaac, Paul Hofhaimer, Heinrich Ignaz Biber, Johann Fux, Christoph Willibald Gluck, and Anton Bruckner.

Johannes Kobald was born in Klagenfrut,Austria.Under the parents' influence,he became interested in music at a very early age.At the age of 6,he began to learn piano and then organ and jazz.He studied  church music further at Vienna's University .
Johannes Kobald is a musical jack-of-all-trades.He had been sound engineer,technician,piano teacher,arranger,conductor and choirmaster of Vienna's University choirs.He is also good at composing ,especially in the field of sacred music.His Kyrie eleison was written for the Vienna Boys Choir's 2008 US tour.
Johannes Kobald has been the conductor of the Vienna Boys Choir since 2007.He likes spending time with the boys and helps them to find the charm of music. "Singing is a serious but joyful thing." Kobald always says that," The joy can transmit to the audiance by singing.And if we can do that we will be successful."
